I have 2 now that are not actually on this host.

Just got another one according to what it says here.

On advice from Rom, I have just tried turning the server off and back on again. Let me know if that resolves the issues.

On my account here it still says this host has 2 tasks in progress but I still have nothing on this host.

I tried a few Boinc CMS *Updates* and nothing changed here.

Tasks ready to send: 0

Else I would try to detach and reattach CMS-dev project.
Maybe those ghost tasks would be abandoned.
Now I'm happy to have at least 1 real task running.
If no new tasks will be added to the queue, I'll extend the lifetime over 36 hours.

Yeah I checked the server many times during the day since I was going to bring back another host to see how things would work here this time but since there is nothing to send I just left it ready.

The only reason I would want these 2 ghost tasks removed from this host is so it could get an actual one when the time come.

I thought for a second about doing the *reset* but that would also mean I would once again have to d/l that .vdi which takes as long as 2 hours (and that really adds up when you do that on several hosts and with several projects with as much as 600MB each)

Just did that to get this current version here and the same thing with Atlas and vLHC

Well as usual I take a late night check (3am) and the first thing I see on the BM log is.......

2/5/2016 3:07:16 AM | CMS-dev | Message from server: CMS Simulation needs 6049.56MB more disk space. You currently have 3487.18 MB available and it needs 9536.74 MB.

Of course I know that can't be possible so I check here and as I figured the server still has no new tasks so I check my account here to see if those 2 ghost tasks are still here and WHAT do I find??

NOW it says I have 47 tasks on this host in progress.......of course I don't have any at all.

But I can tell why a server might *think* I ran out of free space on my SSD

Good thing it is running its Atlas,vLHC,and Einstein GPU's with no problems and no goofy server messages in the log like this from the CMS

Well off to I go and can't wait to see what happens when I wake back up and take a look again.

OK now I have 92 of these fake tasks on one host.

Time to get out my CMS broom and set to perma-no new tasks
