A couple of otherwise good CMS BOINC tasks have recently been "cancelled by server", wasting many hours of work. I think this may be due to the shortened task deadline together with the increased maximum CMS job run time (from 24 hours to 24 hours plus one run). Setting this to three days doesn't leave enough time when the host does other tasks. Could this be increased, please? At least forty eight hours would be good... even better, restored to the original seven days. |

Done. We will have to wait for 100 tasks to drain before you get the new ones with the updated deadline. |

Meant four days... so many keys...so many fat fingers... so few neurons. Edit. Whilst the extended deadline is good, I now see there are similar failures from other volunteers' hosts well within the deadline. There's something else causing them or are they being intentionally cancelled? |

Whilst the extended deadline is good, I now see there are similar failures from other volunteers' hosts well within the deadline. There's something else causing them or are they being intentionally cancelled? The few cancelled tasks I found had an original deadline of 30 days. Something wrong in the calculation with 29th of February? |
