An initial alpha version of the LHCb application has been added. There are currently no tasks for now. Two new topics have been created for the message boards so that discussions on the CMS application and LHCb application can be kept separate.

I have been unable to run Beauty since around the time of Windows 10 release, possibly due to the application (0.53) being incompatible with Win10 or VBox version. Will the new 0.01 lhcb version soon to be released here address that issue with a newer wrapper? Or is it a completely new application?

Will Beauty now cease to be a standalone project? With no boards there, there was no method to report (and hence resolve) any issues. Admin interaction has always been good here so hopefully that will extend to us getting to know the Beauty guys too.

Beauty was not open to the public as it was shipping a Grid credential and hence was restricted to trusted machines. This new application works without a Grid credential and so will be open to the public. I hope that by having one forum we can improve the communication. Someone from LHCb should at least be following the LHCb application topic but there will be others like myself who will also be observing.
