When requesting work on my system:

Something wrong with the configuration?

I am getting the same.

The server has been restarted. If you still don't get tasks, there probably is a problem with the scheduler.

Still no go.

Is there maybe some confusion between Theory Simulation and Theory Simulation 64 bit?

Another 200 Theory Tasks have been submitted. If this works then there is an issue with the way the BOINC scheduler is behaving with multiple applications.

We have hit this issue a few times, time to get to the bottom of it!

It looks that that message is being sent by the send_user_messages() function which intern is called by send_work() in

https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/blob/master/sched/sched_send.cpp

EDIT: i am also not getting LHCb tasks.

Yes, looks like you've broken LHCb as well !

Maybe, disable CMS task for a bit and see, if the server can send other tasks, then.
(or break CMS-tasks)

CMS not broken yet, just got one :-)

Maybe, it is related to the automatic topup of CMS-tasks, that kept the tasks to send at a constant value.

Or, they are classified as "test apps", even though there is not tick box for that in the settings.

I just got a theory task!
I set the work buffer to max.

We were using the make_work command but it creates work evenly so end up with different amounts of unsent tasks for each application. It also prefixes all tasks with wu_ so using create_work instead will also resolve this issue (I didn't forget CP!).

Rom just suggested using --allapps on the feeder daemon. Have just updated the configuration and restarted the sever so let us know if that helps.

How long should that take to percolate through ?

Not working at the moment.
Only have 1 CMS task and preferences are for all projects, cache is at 4 days, only 1 cpu out of 4 being used.

3 Theory tasks are now in progress somewhere !

I got a second one, but they errorout after a few minutes.

Can't get one on my laptop that has a CMS task running and nothing else.
Just found I have one on another machine I swapped from LHCb earlier I left it to it (machines is busy running lots of other stuff).

...and it is busy initialising Hadron Displays and top shows Sherpa is running at 95% :-)
