As I write this, I have four vLHC-dev tasks in one of my machines - two CMS, one LHCb and one Theory Simulation v1.07.

The estimated run times for CMS and LHCb are about 13 hours and about 40 minutes, respectively.

However, the estimated run time for the TS task is just under 4 DAYS! Is this correct, or am I missing something?

I don't particularly care, mind you, but with VB's propensity to ignore BOINC run-time allocation management, the rest of my projects are going to be awfully unhappy.

Jut another "feature" of Boinc. Any new application is allocated an estimated runtime based on flops but here the Maximum runtime is set at 18 hours. The estimates will settle down and become more realistic as your Boinc "learns" about the new app.
Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the information.

You were right on. The task actually ran to completion in about 12 and a half hours and was validated.
