Just a couple examples of Sixtrack tasks running right now and I have seen 100's of them running here for a while but I just stick to LHCb's myself just so they are getting run.

(Here I don't always believe the server staus and instead check a few members here that don't *hide* their computers)
I asked for some a few hours ago but it didn't send me any but about the same time I saw that Axel got lots of them.

Crystal,
is it, because of the Test-parameter? Have it active and more than 200 finished for 6 hours.

Sixtrack-Applications show only Linux (sse2 or avx).
Maybe, this is the reason for getting no work for Windows.

The apps running here are identical to the apps at the production server:
sixtrack_lin64_4630_avx.linux
sixtrack_lin64_4630_sse2.linux

??

Have tested some Preferences for sixtrack.
SL69 Boinc 7.5.1 - 10 CPU's,
Two Atlas simultan with using 4 CPU's.
So, two CPU's where free.

After download of sixtrack a lot of tasks are broken from Server!
Simulated: (Tasks/CPU's)
1 / 1
8 / 8
5 / 8
no limit / no limit
no limit / 8 and so on.
Don't understand, why tasks are broken from Server.
When running WCG with this two free CPU's no problem!

Edit: Some downloads had a limit from Server with four tasks.

Could you guys try running a couple LHCb's to see if they will work or not for you?
I switched to Theory a couple days ago after just getting those [ERROR] Condor exited after 822s without running a job. with LHCb's

Before that started I had hundreds of Valids on 2 different hosts.

At every work request I get 8 tasks (prefs = No Limit), Ok for me, BUT

having 8 tasks 'Ready to start', on the next request the 8 previous received ones are always aborted by server.

Sometimes even already running ones are aborted.

Hi Magic,

Do you really expect that LHCb has jobs?
The graphics show just a very tiny peak, nearly nothing:
https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/lhcb_job.php

Thus I suspect that we would run only an empty VM envelope that may either be treated as invalid or as valid (if it runs longer than xyz seconds).

BTW
A discussion about that should be continued in the LHCb thread.

This should be in the LHCb thread, but For you I tested no couple, but only one: https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=2467243
Not ending with your error code, but failed due to the same 'No jobs were available to run'.

A second one: https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=2529511

I get 11 per request.
Beside that the tasks from earlier requests are also cancelled by the server.

minimum quorum 2

For best validation the wingman computer should be another computer, maybe even from a different user,
but I've several workunits with both results from the same computer.

Examples:
https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/workunit.php?wuid=1743947
https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/workunit.php?wuid=1743021
https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/workunit.php?wuid=1742802
etc etc

Thanks for doing that and the reply CP

And computezrmle this is my 15th year doing this for Cern so just answer the question or don't say anything.
I don't need message board tips......especially here.

I almost NEVER get a reply here if I post it on the particular thread so it was obvious I was trying to get the attention of the 2 members that had just posted on this thread and you didn't even understand what I said.

There is a BIG difference between Valids and Invalid tasks and I said in that post I have had hundreds of Valids with the current LHCb's with the last 4 versions.

And since you are here for some mysterious reason not doing anything I thought just maybe you could run a couple of them.

I test projects before they even get here so I think I know what I am doing......OK?
