Some things work, others donĀ“t.

What works:

  • App update to v47.70 (I reattached via the old HTTP page a while back)
  • RAM calculation (partly: VM started using 3 GB)
  • VM gets a CMS job

What does not work:

  • core setting (VM started with 1 instead of 3)
  • RAM setting (I expected a higher RAM usage according to the preferences)

Is there a statement regarding the RAM calculation?

Why was it necessary to create a new version?
According to the post from Ben Segal the VMs should get an update "automagically" when they reboot.

Using the new https URL I still get the old CMS Simulation v47.40 version in stead of v47.70.

Using the new https URL I still get the old CMS Simulation v47.40 version in stead of v47.70.

    This supports my suspicion:
new HTTPS URL -> outdated app version
old HTTP URL -> most recent app version

It looks like our understanding was in correct and the base memory should have been 1GB. The additional 1GB per core was guestimate and feedback can help optimize this setting.

We were advised to roll out new images as the kernel is not automatically updated.

I have had 4 tasks running on single core each successfully with 1664MB allocated per task.
My suggestion is 1 GB base plus 896M per core.
      Other suggestions?

The configuration has been updated to these values.

Ok, we will see, how that works. However, the bug, that any CMS-task will only run on a s1ngle core, no matter what the settings in the preferences are, still exists. It would be nice, if that could be fixed.

When a 3core VM initially starts it gets only 2 jobs.
The 3rd core remains idle for about 20 minutes.
Then the VM requests a 3rd job.

      Why not at startup?

These do not fail anymore on my Mac.

Except 1, so far 6 OK (from 01/11 and yesterday) and 1 KO (error 206 on the 03/11).

Has anyone decoded that image? I tried with an on-line site and got mainly
      garbage.
