This new version is for Windows only. It provides a rebuilt vboxwrapper. With the previous vboxwrappers, the Windows version differs from the Linux and Mac versions. Whereas the Linux and Mac versions use VBoxManage to control the VMs, the Windows version uses the API. The main issue is the the behavior differs depending on which OS is being used. The other issue is that updates to the vboxwrapper are urgently needed when the API is changed during a Vbox update. Lucky, as the code was written using ifdef WIN32, it was trivial to rebuild the vboxwrapper so that VBoxManage is used for Windows rather than the API. Please let us know if you see any issues with this build.

Short comment: It's not working :(

Explaining: The wrapper starts OK, is creating a VM that starts OK,
After about 10 minutes the wrapper crashes, but the VM keeps on running.
The BOINC task itself errors.

Strange: I saw in the slot that although already running a while some extra files were added like remote_desktop.xml

Before that vbox_trace.txt and vbox_replay.txt are (not really) new. Normally used for debugging.

Withdraw this version. It's terrible.

Remark: Already wrote with the Benchmark application, that the VM is created with 730MB RAM and should be 630MB

Thanks for the feedback. I have depreciated this version. We will continue testing internally.

This is because the value is taken from the plan class and not the XML. They are using the same plan class as the Theory app for now.

I suppose you (the team) built this wrapper version in house.
Although this is a dev-project, there are still users here not really testing and will also not be aware of error-tasks,
where BOINC has stopped the task, but the VM keeps on running.
Of course this will decrease the performance of the affected machines dramatically.

If you have a new version and wants me to test the without-API version too, you know my e-mail.

I'm still getting tasks for version 2.99.

I have just restarted all the services. We will be first testing using the benchmarking app from now on. Sorry for the inconvenience.
