I was looking around last night at some Cern Atlas and LHCb info on youtube and found some Atlas being started via Github And it sounds like security is one thing they want and need to take care of and I have seen a few reasons over the years since we started the VB version 8 years ago. On another note.......I sure have bad luck here when the power goes out and I have 9 computers running. I am usually with the laptop so before I turn it off I can suspend the tasks but all the desktops crash with all the tasks running and when the power comes back on (after one hour today) some of them would restart where they left off and some would start over at 0 but with the same running time which was close to 10 hours on some. And many restarted and several minutes later crashed and became comp-errors. And it wasn't because of any certain OS since I had Win 10's that were running ok and some lost all the running tasks. I still have a couple Win 7's and one restarted but the other that also runs the GeForce 660Ti for Einstein and LHC Theory at the same time would not even reboot until running that long *repair* going through a couple hundred thousand files......but it did start running again after that. As usual the OLD XP Pro x86 started right back up where it stopped when the power went out. Mad Scientist For Life ![]() |
