It looks like we have a new version and maybe the update will get these vbox64_mt_mcore_cms windows_x86_64 to actually work.

I am d/ling the 1.26GB right now and will see if this works.

It looks like we have the multi-core CMS tasks working finally

I have a couple more about to finish so I will keep running the 2-core version.

Cool I've been running 1 thread set by site preferences. I'm trying 2 threads now.

Yes we have been trying to get these to run multi-core for a long time and it finally works.

So far all of the 2-core CMS I have run are Valids so I will keep running them.
When I tested Atlas a few years ago we had multi-core and I even ran 8-core tasks and all the other versions but the main thing with these multi-cores is to have enough Ram

AND I tested them with the newer versions of Oracle VB ( 6.1.20 and 6.1.22 ) and they all worked but version 6.1.16 didn't

Efficiency of using 2 cores sucks though. Your links there show less than 1 thread used but would be occupying two threads. Mine so far are at best using 1.1 threads but only 6% completed. I'll be going back to single thread tasks.

Each CMS subtask runs as singlecore.
If the VM is configured to use n cores (with n > 1) and if it has enough extra RAM (~700 MB per additional subtask) it would be able to run n CMS subtasks concurrently.
This has to be enabled at the backend systems (HTCondor/WMAgent).
What happens at the moment is that the backend systems send only 1 CMS subtask to a VM.

BTW:
Makes no sense to hide the computers here in the -dev project.

What happened to the Windows CMS 60.10 ?
https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/apps.php

Only reason I checked there was after I finished 9 tasks and tried to get more it said there are no CMS tasks in my Event Log
