I have an Xtrack beam simulation that doesn't want to go home. Been running status for almost 6 days but has nothing left to do... only sit there and run. deadline was 3/9. Should I just blow it up or what? on the DEV site, only 1 is left and guess who's it is? |

I have an Xtrack beam simulation that doesn't want to go home. Been running status for almost 6 days but has nothing left to do... only sit there and run. deadline was 3/9. Same here. The beaviour is strange: very fast to arrive to 99,99% (less than 30 minutes), now it's at 100% running after 8hrs. Can we have to abort these wus?? P.S. Again, please open a forum's section for Xtrack |

The beaviour is strange: very fast to arrive to 99,99% (less than 30 minutes), now it's at 100% running after 8hrs. After over 20hrs of crunching i needed to reboot my pc (wu is still running at 100%). The wu restarted from 95% and quickly arrived at 99,99% Still running.... |

I finally got 4 of them and was wondering if they were going to work on Windows 11 since the run time says less than an hour but yours looks good Toby so I will let mine keep running since it is just 4 extra threads I have on a 16 thread machine I use mainly for Einstein GPU's Here is yours for almost 40 hours https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=3218544 Mad Scientist For Life |

completed after about 2 day Did the tasks jump to 100% at about 1.5 minutes and then finally finish after 2 days? Because I have been aborting tasks after 10 hours after they get to 100% after about 1.5 minutes. |

I am pretty sure they jump to 100% after around 3 hours and then run to 40 hours before turning them in Valid but on Windows give you 0 credits. But I will know for sure tonight since I have 4 running that way on a Win 11 host It did call that one "Validate state Initial" with 0 credit after 40 hours. ( I am pretty sure it just said Valid the first time I looked) Mine are at 24hrs right now. |

Well I just got home for a Xtrack surprise You are 4 at a time or 4 cpu cores per task? I am running them 1 cpu core per task and 4 tasks at one time on this 16 core pc. |

I ran the 4 single core version tasks Wish I would have got more to run since as usual there are none left so since this is on my 16 thread host I already changed the setting to get no limit and single core. |

Well I just got home for a Xtrack surprise I just finished a batch on one pc with each task taking 220K+ seconds each, and EVERY task validated!!! Now my wingman did the same task in ALOT less time but my pc is SLOW BUT they ARE validating if I just let them run!!! |

I have an Xtrack ddicroce_test_test_3 task running right now on my Ryzen 9 3900X and it is currently at 7.25 days (626K seconds) of run time. it has been showing 100% progress for about two days now and is still running... Edit: I just checked, and in fact it has been running so long that the server marked that task as failed because the result has not been reported yet. https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=3218179 |

https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=3218843 Fascinating : Temps de fonctionnement 1 jours 9 heures 5 min 47 sec :D :D :D OK, OK, 3 of them finally terminated with similar duration by awarding 1k-1,5k credits, but that one is my record :) |

I'm seeing that too, no time to finish the tasks because the time estimates are soooo far off and the Server is just cancelling them, some while they are still running |
