Development for LHC@home

This version contains a new VM image for ALMA9.

Seems to be working ok Laurence from looking around and I have one running right now (along with the CMS)

Except the Docker version https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/results.php?hostid=5329

Any objections for this going to production?

The application is run directly in the VM so cranky is not used to created in the container. Will investigate the error messages but they seem to be just noise. Will also get it to print the job details.

Docker tasks crash.
I have been getting .

permission denied while trying to connect to the Docker daemon socket at unix:///var/run/docker.sock: Head "http://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/_ping": dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: connect: permission denied

I was able to fix this error by adding user boinc to group docker.

Now they fail with

Do i have to install kubernetes?

No. This may be specific to podman. I will remove this option.

I have just created a new version. Let me know how it goes. You will need CVMFS installed on your host.

7.36 still uses "k8s-file" and fails

tail: '0/stderr.txt' has appeared;  following new file
docker_wrapper config:
   workdir: /shared
   use GPU: no
   Web graphics guest port: 80
   create args: --log-driver=k8s-file --cap-add=SYS_ADMIN --device /dev/fuse
   verbose: 1

it still downloads job_2025_03_15.toml with aforementioned config.
I have even resetted the project.

It is v7.37
