I'm seeing about a 7% computation error rate running the docker app on linux. Here's the latest task that gave me an error: https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=3459216 I do see a kernel warning that seems to coincide with the computation error: 7/8/25 7:53 AM kernel overlayfs: fs on '/var/lib/boinc/.local/share/containers/storage/overlay/l/IG3A6AOFNDPYQUCHJ3EI5KALRS' does not support file handles, falling back to xino=off. I'm running 16 tasks simultaneously. Computer info: CPU type AuthenticAMD AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor [Family 25 Model 33 Stepping 0] Number of processors 32 Coprocessors NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 (15842MB) driver: 570.99 OpenCL: 3.0 Virtualization None Operating System Linux Ubuntu Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS [6.8.0-63-generic|libc 2.39] BOINC version 8.2.4 I do have a squid proxy set up on the same computer and it seems to be working as advertized. Other info: squid version 6.10, podman version 4.9.3 |

In reply to biodoc's message of 8 Jul 2025: I'm seeing about a 7% computation error rate running the docker app on linux. I see clusters of these kernel warnings every few minutes or so. The computational errors are much less frequent so most likely there's no correlation. I'm running 16 tasks simultaneously. I reduced this number to 8 because I was seeing waiting for memory notifications. Apparently ~4 GB memory per task is not enough. Running top or htop shows plently of RAM available. |

I have noticed the memory usage reported to BOINC in the Boinc Central Universal Docker app is also not correct/much higher than actual. |
