With CMD in Win11pro and command docker -v.
Docker is active for me.
Virtualbox is not active.

It might help if we didn't have so many of these as the wingman

He just aborted about 700 of his tasks. Hopefully they will get sent out soon.

The fact that docker is installed and active does not mean that is in use.
The only app that uses docker is Theory.

Theory is still sending plenty of vbox tasks here, and a minimum of docker tasks : when I was trying to run it on my mac (I abandoned now) I was only getting some docker app once in a while and a majority of vbox.

I see the number of unsent tasks has skyrocketed, while the ones in progress has dropped considerably. We can't seem to go above 20 active users either.
What parameters are modified in the new batch? Seems that it will take quite a while to start crunching the new stuff considering the amount of old tasks that get resent several times.

From what i see, the active users on Xboinc are 54.
The average runtime is 21hrs and, now, the queue is 69k wus.

There's a lot to do and it's going to take a lot of time!! :-O

The first batch was rolled out in production! Runtime estimate is 1m50s on an i7-1165G7 running Win11. All running tasks are at 50 minutes as of this post.

In Standard-LHC@Home Xtrack 0.41 is out, so I think, we can stop running 0.04.

As these 0.04 tasks are running for several days, should we abort them or let them finish ?

There are more tasks actually, I picked up some one 2 more computers even though it still shows 0 on the server status page. We will see after the next update, but I expect tens of thousands of tasks to have been sent out.

Update just came in: 9 unsent, 13811 in progress

Can someone please help me understand the task assignment for this workunit? -- https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/workunit.php?wuid=2563474

The first two tasks were sent at 12 Sep 2025, 17:13 UTC (initial replication = 2), with a deadline around 18 Sep 2025, 12:05 UTC. Task 1 (3492073) wasn't even running and was auto-cancelled. Task 2 (3492074) was running, did not get auto-cancelled, and was returned about 6 hours later at 18 Sep 2025, 17:29 UTC.

Now, I assume when the server saw two timeouts at 18 Sep 2025, 12:05 UTC, it created tasks #3 (3514200) and #4 (3514207). Considering both newly created tasks were unsent when Task #2 was returned late, I'd have thought one of these would have been cancelled ("Don't need"). However, it appears both remained in the queue and were sent out 6 days later (on 24 Sep 2025 at 8:53 UTC and 11:25 UTC).

Assuming both clients are crunching on the assigned tasks now, isn't this wasteful considering only one of them was needed to validate the result? Is there a bug in the server code that needs to be logged in the BOINC developers for this scenario?

Welp, everything got cancelled here and in prod as well. Hopefully we'll have a fix for the runtime issue and can take another swing at them.
