Yesterday admins released a new version for all platforms (no release notes).
Waiting to see what is different from 0.04...

Release notes are in the prod forums

In parallel, we have just released a new executable version (0.5) on the development server, where we should have fixed the progress bar and the misprint in stderr at the end of the job!

Waiting for the first batch to drop.

Is anything cooking behind the scenes at any of the projects? Or is LHC-dev fully dormant right now?

I see that there is a constant supply of Theory but is something actually being tested there or are the tasks all duds?

There's nothing new.
At least nothing related to BOINC.
Like CMS Theory VMs on dev and prod get their work from the same backend queues.
Hence, valid results here deliver useful scientific data.
