Long time ago, how old is Windows?

Microsoft Windows is 40 years old, having released its first version on November 20, 1985. (Windows 1.0)
First one I started running was Windows 95, was on August 24, 1995.
And first one I used for Seti was 98SE and then XP Pro
Now I have windows 10 and 11 and I still have a 7 and XP Pro that run but not for Boinc

YES as long as they are running you might as well let them continue

Run time 5 days 13 hours 43 min 1 sec
CPU time 5 days 6 hours 50 min 38 sec

my longest one lately is 10 days

I just had one that ran for 10 days which then cancelled for “inactivity “. Zero credit of course. Frustrating, but what can you do?

All you need to do is check the tasks runRivet to see if it was actually working and I run thousands of them and still have no problem checking and making sure they are running and not just wait to see if it worked.

C:\ProgramData\BOINC\slots and I leave that in the tray the entire time so I can check any running slot in just seconds

Yes, only a few tasks in a week have such a problem.
When seeing it in Boincmanager, they where canceled from my side.

My host is running 10 of these Dockers and here it says 9
Now the one has been running for 26 days so I just wanted to see how long it would run and have watched the slot the entire time and it just keeps running instead of stopping like the ones I would just abort so I guess I might as well give up and abort it but seems strange that the server claims it doesn't exist ....of course it is a sherpa 1.3.1

and the runRivet is longgggggg page so I won't post that but here is a small clip

and the stderr
docker_wrapper 22 starting
docker_wrapper config:
workdir: /boinc_slot_dir
use GPU: no
create args: --cap-add=SYS_ADMIN --device /dev/fuse
verbose: 1
Using WSL distro boinc-buda-runner
Using podman
container state: Exited (0) 292 years ago

container is exited; restarting
starting container
running docker command: start boinc__lhcathomedev.cern.ch_lhcathome-dev__theory_2922-4882132-1194_1783724648_0
program: podman
command output:
boinc__lhcathomedev.cern.ch_lhcathome-dev__theory_2922-4882132-1194_1783724648_0
EOM
stats command returned excessive CPU usage

No big deal and I am one of the very few that will watch the runRivet and see if they are actually running and don't care how long they take and have many Valids over 10 days
After abort - https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/result.php?resultid=3799716 I see it was aborted a couple other times so maybe that one needs to be removed https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/workunit.php?wuid=2812638

Had also this Combination, but
canceled earlier after a few days.
This Task find no ending loop.
You are the Champion for the longest watching for this kind of Task ;-)

Since the input flle for that workunit is not longer present on the server, did you wrote down somewhere the other run parameters for this sherpa?

From all 204 possible sherpa's from version 1.3.1 so far with different parameter combinations only 10 have not yet a successful result.
The other 194 had returned valid results.

Well I have run almost 8500 of these Dockers and over 2000 VB Theory just here and many many more over at production and Sherpa has always been a problem for everyone the last 15 years of VB and now Docker so I have aborted many.

BUT I mean that particular one should not be sent out for a 4th time
I used to have them all saved but some ____ hit the wrong key and deleted ALL of that by erasing all of the team message boards over at production so the 20 years I had saved is gone.........which is why since Docker started I save it all on my own system since erasing 20 years of data here wasted a lot of time.

As far as the Docker version this is one of the only Sherpa I have saved that was Valid
