Hi to all CMS-ers. We need to drain the job queue so that a new version of the WMAgent can be installed.
Can you please set No New Tasks so that your current tasks can run out and no new jobs start? If you have any tasks waiting to run, please suspend or abort them.
Thanks, I'll let you know as soon as the change is done.

(glad this site is on another server from LHC)

So then it is ok to finish the running tasks Ivan? (ah ok I guess that we can)

(it is my morning here so.....)

Well as usual the same problem with VB tasks has been proven........I started the new month on my satellite dish ISP account so running at full speed here gave me 11 Valids in a row and 4 running right now.

As usual the next problem is that I use ALL of my monthly high-speed up in less than 2 days thanks to VB tasks having to all contact the Cern server over and over 24/7

This is not a problem with Sixtrack (or Einstein GPU's) since they do not need to use the internet after you d/l the tasks and then can disconnect until they are finished and then reconnect and send the finished tasks back.

Only problem is I rarely run Sixtracks these days since I either run VB here or at LHC or once in a while for the Atlas-Alpha testing.

I sure hope we don't have to d/l a NEW vdi here for CMS since it is insanely large and is why I only had one pc running them here.

I have been thinking about d/l once and then see if I can copy it off that pc and move it over to another pc with a flash stick I have.

(I did have several great high-speed collisions at the local bowling alley particle accelerator yesterday)

After just 36 hours Cern ate all my daytime high-speed so the rest will be between 2am and 8am and Cern eats that in about 10 days with VB)

Yes, it was OK to let running tasks finish (sorry I only saw your message just now). I let the queue run down to less than 30 "running" tasks before aborting the workflow and giving Alan free rein to update the WMAgent. As yet it hasn't re-appeared and he hasn't let me know the update is over. Once I know that I'll submit a new workflow and when it appears on WMStats I'll issue the go-ahead to resume tasks.
