Development for LHC@home

I only had one error out of the last 50+ tasks.

Sadly, not all of mine are working.

Host 243. All console screens are blank, apart from the cursor.

cron stderr contains only this:-
chmod: cannot access `/tmp/x509up_u500': No such file or directory

the run subdirectories contain only glidein stderr and stdout files.

It's late (or early) so I'll look at the other(s) later today... maybe they'll sort themselves out - perhaps they're network problems..

And so to bed.

Since I cannot see the consoles, because my Windows 10 Home edition has no longer RDP, which I used to have in 8.1, I don't know what is going on. The only thing I see is a CPU usage in Task Manager which is very variable, going from 0 to 20%, while both ATLAS@home and vLHC@home maintain a stable rate of about 17%. The CERN Summer Challenge uses 44% because it runs on two cores of my 4 core A10-6700 AMD CPU.

Mad Scientist For Life

I understand the looping issue that some have been experiencing and will push a fix ASAP. Hopefully everything will be fine in the morning.

After one night rest for the desktop, saw all those positive reactions.

So quickly ordered a new Boinc-task and after 8 minutes initializing the 1st cmsRun popped up and is processing his 155rd record now.
I'm hopefully waiting for the next job in queue.

Edit: Total job time first run: 2763.27 seconds

2nd cmsRun started (>8 minutes now), but no new run-2 map.
ProcLog and StartdLog from map run-1 still in use.

I don't have a Technical Preview. I see that Remote Desktop is enabled in stderr.txt but it does not work.I have allowed Firefox to enter the Firewall, but no result.

All OK this morning, up to 67 records. I reckon the DSL people were up to something overnight.
That's five working now (I think, won't know for sure until tonight) Ivan
will have to run another chellenge, now.

CMS-dev seems to be working steadily in Task Manager. I set High Performance in the Power settings and even Firefox is working OK. No consoles, only logs here and graphs in vLHC@home.
