Atlas tasks run two at a time, except the dual core version. It is LHCb which won't run while another task is running. Now I have a Theory dual core task running and two LHCb tasks waiting to run, plus SETI@home GPU tasks running one at the time. I got plenty of RAM (24 GB) on the Windows 10 PC and I am never out of memory.

I am running Theory 26181 on my 32-bit Linux laptop which has no hardware acceleration in its VirtualBox, only KVM Paravirtualization, so I am not sure I will be able to run the new version. It is contributing to MCPLOTS, while my main cruncher, 84554, a Windows 10 PC with 24 GB RAM doing all CERN programs plus Einstein@home on its GPU board, a GTX 750 Ti which earns me a lot of credits, is not seen by MCPLOTS.

Me too. But all multicore tasks fail on my Opteron 1210 running SuSE Linux because it has only 2 cores, while CMS tasks run nicely. Also my 32-bit Linux laptop never fails and is contributing to MCPLots while the 84554 Windows 10 PC wth its AMD A10-6700 and 4 cores is not detected.

My LHCb tasks are all crashing on my Linux box with VirtualBox 5.1.2. CMS tasks work perfectly. Multicore apps crash, also because my Opteron 1210 has only 2 cores.

It is running in high priority on my SUN Linux workstation and its two core Opteron 1210, 8 GB RAM. There is also a multicore Theory task and a SETI Beta GPU task on its HD 7770 AMD/ATI board. Good old SUN!.

Two things so far:

1) Setup seems incredibly complex. Too much dinking around with configuration files and balancing different versions of BOINC and VB with the operating system. I'm a plug-and-play sort of guy, so I find this all unnecessarily tedious and annoying. By the way, I get that this is a development environment, but still....

2) Once VB starts a task, it/they freeze out all other projects. BOINC doesn't seem to exercise any control over the run time allocation. I have three LHC2/LHC-dev tasks running right now that once they started, nothing else has gotten any time at all even on a quad-core machine.

I have one vLHCathome-dev, 2 vLHC@home and 6 Einstein@home GPU tasks running on my Windows 10 PC with a 4 core AMD A10-6700 CPU with 4 cores. The GPU tasks run one at the time on my GTX 750 OC nVidia board. RAM is 24 GB.
