Project Configuration Update 2
(Message 3317)
Posted 12 May 2016 by tullio Post: Thanks Ben. So vLHCathome-dev gets at most one core, the other 3 of my AMD A10-6700 are free for other projects, plus one GPU task, either Einstein@home or SETI@home, which offer GPU tasks both on the Nvidia board of the Windows PC and the AMD/ATI board of the older Linux box, nicknamed "Old Faithful". Only the 32-bit HP Linux box is still getting vLHC@home tasks and contributing to MCPLOTS. Tullio |

Posted 12 May 2016 by tullio Post: Yes, why only one has started? If I download Atlas@home all 4 tasks start. Is this related to the app_config.xml file which was downloaded? Tullio |

Project Configuration Update 2
(Message 3312)
Posted 12 May 2016 by tullio Post: After cleaning all tasks running and installed the Windows 10 update, I restarted BOINC Manager and dowwnloaded 4 vLHCathome-dev tasks. But only one is running, the other three are ready to start. I have 4 cores and there are no other tasks running, except two Einstein@home GPU tasks, one of which is running. Tullio |

Posted 19 Apr 2016 by tullio Post: My AMD A10-6700 has 4 cores. I have now 4 vLHCathome-dev tasks running, one is a CMS, two are Theory 0.01 and one LHCb 0.05. Only GPU tasks, both SETI@home and Einstein@home run beyond the 4 cores limit. Tullio |

Posted 19 Apr 2016 by tullio Post: I am running two vLHC@home tasks and one vlHCathome-dev on my Windows 10 PC. They all run CMS tasks. On my 64-bit Linux box I have installed vLHCathome-dev and a very short Atlas task has run and validated. Only the 32-bit Linux box is still running good old vLHC@home. Tullio |

(Message 1811)
Posted 2 Feb 2016 by tullio Post: I am running VBox 5.0.14 on this Windows 10 host and a Solaris guest, 5.0.10 on one Linux guest, SuSE Leap 42.1, 4.3.34 on another Linux guest from SuSE, 4.3.28 and 4.3.30 on two Linux hosts running SuSE 13.2 and 13.1. The only problem I have is that the two Linux guests on the Windows host do not appear to see that the AMD A10-6700 CPU has AMD-V enabled and so they don't run vLHC@home and CMS-dev. Tullio |

Posted 18 Nov 2015 by tullio Post: I've installed Leap 42.1, the latest SuSE release, as a Virtual Machine on this Windows host. I installed BOINC client and manager from SuSE and also Virtual Box. Nothing works. Then I downloaded gcc, make and kernel sources from SuSE and am trying to rebuild all that works on OpenSuSE 13.1 and 13.2 on my Linux boxes. Tullio |
