Maybe we can test it here ...

What if you revive the application BOINC VM APP?
It was designed to run native applications as a payload

Or offer to download and manually run the prepared VM - the same as in the vbox64_mt_mcore_atlas applications

finished the tasks of the first wave of March 18 and can no longer get new ones
are there any restrictions on host parameters?

since we are already talking about the official release - note new tasks do not count as ATLAS for badges

Logfile entries written to stderr.txt at the beginning of the task are missing in the final report.
They are required to identify a CVMFS or Singularity misconfiguration.

the beginning of the file is lost if the payload is started

it might make sense to have a separate test application
without a payload, only diagnostic log entries
to check the suitability of the host and project settings (memory, threads, etc.)

Once upon a time there was a similar Benchmark Application

Unknown image format/type: /cvmfs/atlas.cern.ch/repo/containers/images/singularity/x86_64-centos7.img

try a version of singularity from the server

/cvmfs/atlas.cern.ch/repo/containers/sw/singularity/x86_64-el7/current/bin/singularity exec -B /cvmfs /cvmfs/atlas.cern.ch/repo/containers/images/singularity/x86_64-centos7.img hostname

maybe a hint will appear, e.g. "unsquashfs not found" or "mkdir /home/boinc: permission denied"

PS if it works - just delete the installed singularity

provide a link to the tasks of a particular host ;-)

you are trying to run a native ATLAS application on an unprepared system

see instructions Instructions for ATLAS native app and CVMFS

for Ubuntu 20.04 you need to install and configure cvmfs
you may have to install additional packages - squashfs-tools, singularity-container, ...
(you need to look at the results of each stage of preparation)

I can't reach the cern servers. Maybe it wants me to set a proxy? But I don't use a proxy.

cvmfs_config chksetup

if asks for proxy (CVMFS_HTTP_PROXY) - install squid
(Ubuntu - "sudo apt-get install squid")
and add CVMFS_HTTP_PROXY="http://127.0.0.1:3128"

you need proxies only on a single host
others can use it address

the problem remains - there is "no tasks for ATLAS"
it is necessary to look at the server - why tasks are not sent to the host

what did you do for the http proxy?

I don't have any proxy. So I setup a proxy directly to the host

sudo apt-get install squid

And added "http://127.0.0.1:3128" to config

something drain queue a few times before you
but without having to install the necessary packages

it makes sense to further limit the number of tasks in one hand

That is very strange, are you sure this message is for ATLAS? I have tested this app successfully on a machine without virtualbox.

Yes, for the Atlas. Only one application is allowed in the settings.

Packages installed (including SQUID), configured and tested (CVMFS probe)
Error message remained the same (no tasks + no VirtualBox )

Now, however, they do not really have on the server. I am waiting for new work

Are there any additional requirements for the host for these tasks? The size of the memory or disk, the number of CPUs, etc.

Unfortunately there is no way to check for CVMFS on the client before requesting tasks, so if you don't have CVMFS you can still get these tasks and they will fail straight away. So better to uncheck the ATLAS app if you don't want to run it.

Hardware-Acceleration (AMD-V) is not active is shown as message,
but sixtrack don't need it.

A similar situation, but a different message - "VirtualBox is not installed".
Always only with the message "No tasks are available for Sixtrack Simulation"

("Limit" and "Got new task" without warning)
