(Message 8153)
Posted 30 Aug 2023 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: The MySQL database for LHC@home-dev has been upgraded to MySQL8. Normally this should not affect any of the functionality of the BOINC applications. |

Dev server updated
(Message 5653)
Posted 16 Nov 2018 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: However, there are other GDPR features in the code that we have enabled in our configuration, but at least for me, it does not work as expected, the login and registration screens are like before. No, the expected features are on user consent etc. The Captcha stuff is something we have on our production project to avoid spammers. |

Dev server updated
(Message 5649)
Posted 15 Nov 2018 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: Thanks for the feedback. I did a test account creation and deletion, it worked fine for me. The server sent a link to the email address of my test account that I had to validate before deleting the account. However, there are other GDPR features in the code that we have enabled in our configuration, but at least for me, it does not work as expected, the login and registration screens are like before. |

(Message 5431)
Posted 1 Jun 2018 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: The Sixtrack assimilator is deliberately not started on the DEV project, as we are testing the HTCondor BOINC gateway here, that should take care of bringing back the results. |

ATLAS load tests
(Message 5370)
Posted 1 Mar 2018 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: @MAGIC: The only reason why we direct our temporarily idle hypervisors (Agile Boincers) here is to be able to load-test our new storage back-end with ATLAS load before upgrading our production environment. Under normal circumstances, cluster backfill at CERN is done outside BOINC, as such nodes can handle data-intensive analysis and other work than simulations. Your contributions and notably alpha and beta testing are very much appreciated, and help us to reach more volunteers on a wider range of OS. I suggest to continue the discussion on Windows and ATLAS under the "ATLAS application" forum. |

ATLAS load tests
(Message 5362)
Posted 28 Feb 2018 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: These in-house cores are only available temporarily when there is no analysis jobs going on. So we are more than happy for contributions from all of you! The more capacity we can get, the better :-) Now we recommend to keep connected to the regular LHC@home, as this dev project can be erratic. |

ATLAS load tests
(Message 5360)
Posted 27 Feb 2018 by Nils Hoeimyr Post: For information: We have increased limits pr. host on the dev project as part of a campaign to test our new storage backend. Expect most new ATLAS tasks to be pulled by our local cluster hosts and the LCG cluster in Bejing. But there are tasks for other applications too for those interested. There might be interruptions too, as this is our development and testbed. :-) |
